All entries (registration form) to be emailed to swim@rotarynairobi.org. NO SMS OR VERBAL ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED. Schools and clubs can enter as many participants as can swim 100 m continuously. Registration will end on February 15*. Late entries will be considered as space permits. Please sign up early!

There are 2 methods of advance payment, cheque and MPESA. Please try to send your full pledge amount in advance. For security reasons, cash donations will NOT be accepted on the day of the event. Registration fees are indicated below.
Cheques are payable to ROTARY CLUB of NAIROBI. These can be hand-delivered or couriered, Rotary Club of Nairobi, P O Box 41181 - 00100, Kenya. Email acknowledgement will be sent in advance. Printed receipts will be issued at the venue.
MPESA: Pledges to support polio eradication can be sent in advance by MPESA as well. For instructions, please email swim@rotarynairobi.org or visit our website, http://www.rotarynairobi.org/swimarathon/index.asp
CASH: For security reasons, Rotary asks that pledges be submitted in advance as above. Rotary asks that cash on the day be limited to final payment of swim registration fees.

Fund-raising target: It is suggested those under 18 seek sponsors willing to pledge a minimum of KES 500. Each team is asked to raise at least KES 2500 in sponsorship.
Registration Fee on day of event –KShs 100.00 per swim participant up to age 17
Those 18 years or over as of 1st January 2012 (please indicate age on form) (University students and others 18/over are considered adults for purposes of this event)

A team is made up of 5-10 people, whether students (age 10-17) or adults (age 18 and up). Please try to register an entire team. If you cannot find at least 5 people, let us know. We will try to match you up with others your age on the day of the event. Thanks.

Rotary Club of Nairobi will post a running total of the number of people who have done a 100 m swim throughout the event. Our goal is to have 600 swimmers finish this year!
Participation Prizes: Rotary Club of Nairobi will recognize the schools and clubs that have the most swimmers. There will be certificates of recognition for the largest teams of Girls, Boys, and Mixed. Other prizes include teams with the youngest or oldest average age.
Certificates will be awarded to all who finish the 100m swim. World record certificates will be sent once the Guinness Book of World Records has certified if it is a new world record.
Fundraising Prizes: Rotary Club of Nairobi will recognize the teams that raise the most money to eradicate polio. These fundraising categories will also apply to teams:
Platinum 500,000 Gold 200,000
Silver 100,000 Bronze 50,000
Organizational Meeting before the swim: Please be on time! This is a requirement!
The Organisers will hold a full briefing at 13:30 p.m. SHARP for all participants on Saturday February 25 in the pool area at the University of Nairobi. (See map)
There is ample parking within the university grounds but please arrive early. (See map)
The organisers remind all participants that the world record event MUST be completed between the hours of 3-4 pm E.A.T. in order to qualify for a new Guinness world record.
Late registration: Event day registration will be as space permits. Late participants MUST arrive at the pool area for by 12:30. No late participants will be registered after 13:30.
The swim will start promptly at 3 pm and end promptly at 4 pm. No late starts. Sorry!
There will be refreshments available and a lunch provided for cash adjacent to the pool.
