In Partnership with Lions SightFirst Eye Hospital
The first camp of this Rotary Year was held at Naivasha Catholic Church on the 10th of April 2017.
We saw 710 patients and were able to bring to the hospital 58 patients out of which 52 had cataract surgery. The other 6 had other complications and their surgeries will be done later after they contain these conditions.
We also distributed 700 eye care brochures. It is harder to do medical or health materials in Kiswahili due to the technical terms.
It should be noted that this project does much more than cataract surgeries. The project provides education on eye care for thousands of people and medications.
