ROTARY DAY AT UN 10TH NOVEMBER 2018
Join Rotary leaders, members and guests in Nairobi, Kenya as we recognize the long standing relationship between Rotary International and the United Nations and with young leaders who are changing our world.
This year’s #RotaryUNDay themed “Youth Innovation: Crafting Solutions to Emerging Challenges” shall be held at the United Nations Information Centre Nairobi, Kenya on Saturday, 10th Nov. 2018. The program shall include an address by the Rotary International President, Barry Rassin, a celebrity speaker and change-makers from different spheres.
General Sessions and break-outs shall discuss the UN Sustainable Development Goals, the technological revolution, and the young people’s role in creating change. A special session on the environment will highlight the importance of sustainable development and offer concrete actions that people of all generations can take to ensure a clean and healthy future.
6 volunteers under age 35 will be honored as Rotary People of Action: Young Innovators. For the first time, the event will feature an innovation fair where Rotary clubs, businesses, and other organizations will exhibit humanitarian projects and cutting-edge technology that can help address the challenges we face. The #RotaryUNDay attracts an international attendance of over 1000.
